Job Description:

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Training Coordinator position in the Office of Workforce Development, Workforce Data & Program Quality team. This position is responsible for providing intermediate to advanced technical training and support.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Training Coordinator is charged with working in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts on the development and delivery of training (onsite, hybrid and virtual). This position partners with leadership across Office of Workforce Development to provide direct training and development support to staff within assigned regions. The Training Coordinator will report to the Manager of Training, providing regular updates on any policy or training recommendations based on operational need. Travel is required as per the responsibilities of the role. The percentage of travel can be between 10% to 80% of total time worked, depending on business needs.

Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support programs, interpret federal and state legislation and program requirements; create training and presentations related to policy updates, ensuring compliance with legislation and grant requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal statutes, regulations and policies.

  • Design and develop course materials for each assigned business process: presentations, toolkits, job aids, worksheets, instructor led trainings, videos, etc.

  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements in the Learning Management System.

  • Provide technical assistance for internal and external customers via phone, email, or in person.

  • Collects and analyzes data related to performance indicators and resources to determine training and technical assistance needs.

  • Will assist in the training and communication of relevant policy updates to impacted staff to ensure adherence.

  • Provides training support for ongoing operation of specialized programs.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • An Associate’s degree *and * four (4) years of related work experience

  • Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-to-year basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of related experience *or* six (6) years of relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related Wagner-Peyser (WP) Act.

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations with experience interpreting Training and Employment Notices (TENs) and Training and Employment Guidance Letters (TEGLs).

  • Experience delivering employment services in a career center.

  • Experience in writing training manuals and learning resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree *and* Two (2) years related work experience - -Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
