Job Description:
POSITION: Student Success Coordinator/General Education Support Instructor
LOCATION: Clarkesville, GA
DESCRIPTION: Under supervision of the Dean of General Education and Business, performs all aspects of instruction for General Education support classes as well as performs all duties associated with scheduling and maintaining the Student Success Center. The Student Success Coordinator/Gen Ed Support Instructor position will be required to provide instruction on multiple campuses, when needed. Employment is with North Georgia Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on college needs. Some major duties for this position include coordinating scheduling of the Student Success Center at all NGTC campuses, interviewing, hiring, and training tutors, and coordinating testing accommodations with instructors, as needed. Additionally, they will be expected to develop course syllabi, goals, and objectives, prepare lesson plans, and ensure safety and security requirements are met in the classroom. They will be expected to assist with supplies and equipment requests, budget requests, maintaining documentation and administrative reports, and recruitment and retention efforts for students, among other duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Math, English, History, or other related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Teaching experience at the postsecondary level
