POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION:  Legal Studies, Adjunct Instructor

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time position. Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Business Sciences. Performs all aspects of instruction for the Legal Studies program.  Part-time position based on a semester system. The person in this position is responsible for providing the instruction necessary to develop and sustain the Legal Studies program that prepares students with employable skills for business and industry. Classes are taught on multiple campuses, day, evening, and online (asynchronous and synchronous). 

Note: Lab Assistant positions are part-time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis.  Therefore, your employment is limited, and there is no expectation that your association with Chattahoochee Tech will be extended beyond this term.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctorate
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies/Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal
  • OR
  • Master’s Degree in Law or Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)

  • Experience supervising the work of paralegals/legal assistants
  • Experience with instruction in a postsecondary setting using Blackboard or other online learning management systems
  • Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction

SALARY/BENEFITS:  Pay per course ($2,300); there are no state benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
