POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Human Resources Specialist, Talent Acquisition

POSITION SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the professional support in the hiring of staff, faculty and student positions within the college. This role is key in ensuring a positive employee experience and fostering an engaging, inclusive work environment. The HR Specialist will collaborate with management and staff to develop HR solutions that align with organizational goals. Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on college needs.
MAJOR DUTIES
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, TCSG Policies and workplace safety standards.
• Manage the full hiring cycle through posting, screening, interviewing, and working with hiring officials to make the final candidate selection for the assigned areas.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
• Promote a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives and addressing team dynamics.
• Assist in sourcing, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates.
• Assist employees with questions and issues, ensuring proper communication of updates or changes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.
• Prepare HR reports and analytics to inform decision-making and track HR metrics.
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws and ensure HR policies align with legal requirements.
• Support other HR projects and tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School degree or equivalent *and* one (1) year of related experience.
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous Human Resources experience in onboarding and hiring
• Experience in working with Banner, Microsoft Office, Workday
SALARY/BENEFITS: $45,301.59 annual salary. Benefits include: paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
