Summary: Under general supervision performs a variety of education and counseling, follow up and clerical support functions for the Healthy Start, Healthier Generations Program. Provides up to 20 home visits per month to recruit male participants and to complete screening tools. Provides outreach to recruit Dads for the Healthier Generations Program. Collaborates with other Male/Fatherhood Programs in the community to coordinate and expand services. Develops expanded male oriented programming such as support groups, fairs and 1-day events. Provides follow up phone calls to male participants. Schedules own home visit appointments as cases are assigned while fully explaining focus/services of the HS program. Assists nurse or CHW’s with case management follow up of the family. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.


Minimum Qualifications:  Master's degree in Public Health Education from an accredited college or university AND one year of public health education experience OR Bachelor's degree in Education, Social, Behavioral or Biological Sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university AND two years of experience in public health education.


Preferred Job-Related Skills: Knowledge of Male Involvement programing and 24/7 Dads Curriculum.


Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Works with clients in the home/community 90% of the time. Will travel from the office to client’s homes. Some work completed in the office weekly. Must be able to carry a minimum of 15 pounds, navigate stairs and provide own transportation (with a valid Georgia driver’s license and auto insurance coverage). Overnight and out of state travel may be required for training.

Salary Information: $18.00 per hour / Up to 29 hours per week
