Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their Early Headstart Teacher position – Early Education Center.  This position is located on Atlanta Tech's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta. 

Job Duties

• Plan and implement the Creative Curriculum in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the Department of Early Care and Learning.
• Observe and record the developmental progress of children in all domains using the Teaching Strategies Gold Child Assessment and utilizing the Individual Family Service Plan.
• Prepare daily learning activities and materials for infant and toddlers for small and large group experiences.
• Encourage the children in experimentation, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice making.
• Provide written and verbal communication to parents on a daily basis.
• Plan and conduct home and/or personal visits; work with and encourage parents, and the community to volunteer.
• Collaborate with the Hub Specialists in meeting the needs of all children, including those with special needs.
• Meet the health and safety guidelines based on the Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale.
• Plan for the nutritional needs of the children including support for the mothers who are nursing.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and appropriate professional development activities as assigned; assist in planning and conducting parent conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent. Must possess Infant Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate)

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.  Must possess Infant Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate)
